Couldn’t resist. Normally these pre-order bonuses that retailers shell out are typically limited to T-shirts or caps or trading cards or figurines or corny framed pictures (Thanks Blockbuster! My wife loves the Nico Bellic picture and thinks it fits in swimmingly with our living room decor!) but for Wolverine Origins, GameStop’s incentive is too good to resist.
Providing of course the game doesn’t blow adamantium sack. But I’m a sucker for even mediocre hack-and-slash brawlers (how many people do you know that own Beowulf?) and the gameplay I’ve seen for Woverine’s latest outing looks pretty awesome.
Anyway, GameStop is giving download codes to pre-order customers that unlock four bonus arena stages that look ten pounds of bad-ass. I think all brawlers should have arena sections where you just beat down wave after wave of foe and the Weapon X Arena appears to be sadistic bliss.
Check out the video after the break and I defy you to tell me it wasn’t worth kowtowing to the corporate might of GameStop.
