BLAST PROCESSING! Episode 100: E3 special edition!

I bet you never thought we’d get this far! Steve, Dave, and Adam ring in Episode 100! Jon’s there lurking, and is very sad because his mic is busted, but at least he’s there in spirit, laughing at the rest of us.

WE run down the big ole slab of “what the hell?” that was E3 2011! If The Cirque De Soliel is the most exciting show on Earth, this just may have been the most boring. There’s some PSVita inspired hand-wringing, some Wii-U inspired head-scratching, much yawning over Kinect and much love for Uncharted 3, Skyrim, and Mass Effect 3! Tune in, enjoy! And be sure to let us know how you felt about this years E3 by commenting below, or better yet – heading on over to the DVDVerdict Jury Room

BLAST PROCESSING! Episode 99: The Great one!

Steve and Jon (who’s volume is super low thanks to some kind of recording anomaly – sorry) are back to run down the news.

The PSN is back ,and Activision has announced their subscription plans for Call of Duty.

Meanwhile, the guys are still playing LA Noire, but Jon finds time for some Brink, while Steve digs into The Witcher 2, and Hunted: The Demon’s Forge.

BLAST PROCESSING! Episode 98 – Good business is where you find it.

Suit up with Steve and Jon for another epic sortie against the forces of boredom. Your two favourite Canadian gaming chimps find new and exciting ways to eviscerate 75 minutes of your precious time.

On the news front; Steve breathes an incredulous sigh of relief as the PSN Crisis lumbers to an end (and nobody thought to tell him!?), and there’s a thrilling discussion about the perfectly-timed Modern Warfare 3 info “leak”.

Jon offers up a nickel’s worth of free advice to one of the major first-party developers regarding their big E3 performance this year before the boys get onto the topics of the day and discuss the games they’ve been and you should be playing. There’s some love doled out to Dirt 3, The Witcher 2 (DYLAN!! You son of a witch!), and some game about Templars, but they all slink into the background once L.A. Noire takes the stage. Has Rockstar struck gold again? Is this the first Mature-rated game to truly be mature?

BLAST PROCESSING! Episode 67: E3 2010 Part Two (Nintendo & Sony)

Adam, Steve, and Erich wrap up Pixel Verdict’s E3 2010 coverage by tackling Nintendo and Sony’s press conferences. The Big N comes on strong with entries in classic game franchises from Metroid to Donkey Kong, Kirby to Zelda, Mario to (gasp) Kid Icarus!? Plus, they reveal the glasses-free 3D successor to their DS handheld juggernaut—and it’s awesome. Meanwhile, Sony pushes their own (more expensive) brand of 3D, reveals the launch line up for the PlayStation Move motion controller, and goes for the game trailer montage record. To hear this podcast in 3D, just cross your eyes for the next hour and twenty minutes.

BLAST PROCESSING! Episode 66: E3 2010 Part One (Microsoft)

Jon, Dave, and Erich break down Microsoft’s E3 2010 press conference, from the blood-soaked alien landscapes of Halo Reach and Gears of War 3, to the family friendly line-up for their new motion control device, Kinect. Did this year’s presser have all the right moves, or is the newly redesigned Xbox 360′s focus on controller-free gaming an Epic Flail?

BLAST PROCESSING! Episode 65: Not Necessarily Getting Paid

Dave and Tim join Erich for the last BLAST PROCESSING! before E3 2010. After talking about the Halo Reach beta, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Prince of Persia: The Forgotten Sands, Splinter Cell: Conviction co-op, Super Street Fighter IV, and Alan Wake, the crew looks forward to next week’s game-stravaganza. It’s like Christmas Eve in podcast form, except that it’s warm outside and you don’t have to wear those itchy wool pajamas if you don’t want to.

What E3 announcement or game are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments below, over in the DVD Verdict Jury Room forums, or by emailing at feedback@pixelverdict.com.

BLAST PROCESSING! Episode 16: That Mario Itch

bp_drmario

It’s a wild and wooly return to our normal podcast format this week, as Erich, Dave, Adam, and Steve ramble their way through tangents, technical difficulties, innuendo, and the occasional video game talk. Dave hacks his way through a bargain bin purchase of Devil May Cry 4, Adam gets sucked back into World of Warcraft, Erich replays New Super Mario Bros., and Steve talks Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings before laying into Prototype. The crew puts a bow on E3 with final thoughts on games like Just Cause 2, Castlevania: Lord of Shadows, and Assassins Creed 2, leading into a discussion of which games they actually plan on buying before year’s end. (Spoiler: Steve’s going to buy everything.) And if Dave’s Skype connection hadn’t reduced him to feeding text messages for Steve to read aloud, there might actually have been a discussion of this week’s Symposium Ad Nauseum topic: Favorite Capcom Game. Where’s “that guy from Saved By the Bell” when you need him?

What do you plan on picking up this year? Add it to the comments below, or join the discussion in the Jury Room forums. Afraid of public scrutiny? Email us at feedback@pixelverdict.com.
