Normally, I celebrate Talk Like a Pirate Day, by pretending it’s Talk Like a Normal Person Day. Not this year. That’s because the point & click-ers at Telltale Games are making the first episode in their brand-new Tales of Monkey Island series free for one day only, on September 19.

Details are a little sketchy as to whether you’ll need to download the demo first or whether it will be a straight-up free download from their store, but either way I suggest you head over to their official website and check it out.

Because “tomorrow” starts at 12:01 GMT, those of us on the East Coast of the US can get the game at 7:01 p.m. tonight (if you live elsewhere, you’ll need to do the appropriate math).

The most exciting thing about this offer? I finally have a reason to use the Windows partition on my Mac.
